About 33 Zen Lane

Founded in 2020, 33 Zen Lane is an urban permaculture homestead on two acres in Auburn, Maine. Our homestead contains hundreds of edible and medicinal plant species and an increasing number of chemical-free bee hives.
Our ongoing goal at Zen Lane is to provide a wide array of chemical-free home and wellness options that empower our community to be more self-reliant and sustainable.
We are inspired by our own decades-long journey into healing with plant medicine, and eliminating toxic products from our everyday lives.
The products we make are ones that our family and friends have loved for many years. We hope you love them too!

33 Zen Lane is entirely woman-owned and operated by wife + wife team, Amber + Joey, with occasional help from their two teenagers.
Amber's roots in plant medicine stretch back to her childhood in the Appalachian region of Kentucky, where she learned about hunting ginseng and preparing poke. She has since studied with The School of Evolutionary Herbalism and Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine. She continues to learn more from the plants every year.
Joey has 25+ years of culinary experience, and you will often find her whipping up treats in Zen Lane's licensed, ServSafe certified kitchen. She also continues to turn food into medicine in the cannabis industry, where she runs a busy edibles kitchen.
Amber and Joey also founded Healing Hive Collective in 2021, alongside longtime friends, Rosalie and Michelle. Healing Hive offers a wide range of herbal products with the added benefit of Full Spectrum CBD and other cannabinoids. Visit The Hive by clicking here!
